CafeS & sandwich
Known as “panaderias” and “pastelerias” or “cafés”, these are places where you can find something lighter to eat, such as a sandwich or salad. In some sandwich places you can find the classic “butifarra”, which is a sandwich with homemade jam. “Chicharron” sandwiches are also a classic fast-food staple for any time of day (although they are typically eaten for breakfast), made with thick slices of tender and juicy pork meat. Chicharron sandwiches are served on French bread and topped with fried sweet potato and salsa criolla made from red onion and lemon juice. Yes, all in the same bite!
