Six days in Lima
Day One:
Museo Larco in Pueblo Libre https://www.museolarco.org/en/ Time approx 3 hrs. There are a couple of options of where to eat close by: the café inside the museum (nice ambiance) or nearby at a traditional tavern called the “Antigua Taberna Queirolo”. For lunch, the most popular item is the ham (butifarra) sandwich and chilcano de pisco (refreshing alcoholic drink). There are other traditional dishes served there as well. https://antiguatabernaqueirolo.com/
Return to Miraflores. Walk to Parque del Amor, see the sunset, and walk through Larcomar. Larcomar Is a shopping center with many options for restaurants and a nice ocean view. It is an exclusive place, so don’t go crazy on the shopping as there may be cheaper options elsewhere!
Dinner: See Restaurants in Lima tab for a selection.
Day Two:
Lima Center: Take a tour (half day), which we recommend that you do in the morning. Visit the main plaza (Plaza de Armas), which is surrounded by the cathedral, government palace, Municipality of Lima, etc. Walk around this busy and old part of Lima. There is plenty to see!. If you are hungry, have a chicharron sandwich at El Chinito https://elchinito.com.pe/.
Afternoon: Go to Barranco, a bohemian district in Lima. Take a walk around the church and library, located next to the principal park. There is an ice cream shop called Cream de la Cream. Make a wish, hold your breath, and cross the Puente de los Suspiros (Bridge of Sighs). Right below it is the Bajada de Baños, which you can walk down to reach a lookout point over the water. There may be people selling handcrafts, but we recommend buying better quality handcrafts at the Indian Market
Dinner: Select one of the restaurants on the list that are located in Barranco. You may try Isolina, Canta Rana, Merito.
After dining, there are some bars like Victoria Bar, Picas Bar, or Ayahuasca Bar.
Day Three:
Morning: Walk the Miraflores boardwalk (Malecon). it is also possible to go down to the beach (Redondo Beach or Waikiki beach). Don’t forget that going down is easy, coming up not so much!
Day Four:
Brunch /Lunch. Perhaps a ceviche!
Evening: Take a walk in Parque Kennedy in Mirafores and visit the Inca’s Market to see and buy handcrafts such as goods made from alpaca fur or silver jewelry.
Night: Perhaps visit the Brujas de Cachiche (restaurant). Try the pisco sour, as well as the sampling plate of creole or seafood. Or try another restaurant from our list of recommendations.

The Indian Market is a series of shops close to the Parque Kennedy in Miraflores on Av. Petit Thouars 5321. The entire area is full of small gift shops where you can get some souvenirs. Don’t forget to ask for a discount, at least 3 times! https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g294316-d8866057-Reviews-Indian_Market_Centro_Artesanal_Miraflores-Lima_Lima_Region.html
